Concrete Walkways built to last in Greater Magnolia

A concrete walkway is the first thing visitors see and the path they take to your door. Magnolia Concrete Designs installs decorative and functional concrete walkways and sidewalks throughout The Woodlands, TX — from a curved garden path to a long, code-compliant front entry walk.

We design walkways that guide foot traffic where you want it, shed water away from the foundation, and complement the architecture of your home. For HOAs and neighborhoods, we also handle sidewalk replacement that meets local right-of-way standards.

What’s included

Front entry walkways

Wide, welcoming paths from the driveway or street to your front door, often paired with a small porch slab.

Garden & side paths

Narrower decorative paths that wind through landscaping and connect side yards.

Residential sidewalks

Straight or curved sidewalks along the frontage, poured to local right-of-way spec.

HOA & neighborhood replacement

Section-by-section sidewalk replacement for HOAs and neighborhoods, including ADA ramps.

Decorative finishes

Broom, stamped, exposed aggregate, or stained finishes that match your home’s style.

Why choose concrete for this project

  • Guides guests to the door and away from landscaping
  • Sloped to carry water away from the foundation
  • One durable surface that doesn’t heave like pavers
  • Finishes that match any home style, from traditional to modern

Good to know

Most residential walkways are a one-day pour; HOA sidewalk projects are phased to keep pedestrian access open.

Frequently asked questions

How wide should a front walkway be?
We recommend at least 4 feet for a front entry walk so two people can walk side by side, and 5 feet for a more generous, welcoming feel. Garden paths can be narrower (3 feet).
Can you replace just a section of sidewalk?
Yes. For HOAs and neighborhoods we do section-by-section replacement, saw-cutting at the joints so the new section ties in cleanly and keeps pedestrian access open during the work.
Will the walkway slope away from my house?
Always. We grade walkways to slope away from the foundation (typically a quarter inch per foot) so water sheds toward the yard or a drain, not toward your slab.
What finish is best for a walkway?
For safety we recommend a light broom or exposed-aggregate texture for traction, especially in shade where moisture lingers. Stamped concrete works too, as long as we seal it with a grip additive.
